Strand is a former settlement in Kern County, California.^[1] It was located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 13 miles (21 km) west of Bakersfield,^[2] at an elevation of 338 feet (103 m).^[1] Strand still appeared on maps as of 1932.^[1]
