Wang Po-Jung (Chinese: 王柏融; born September 9, 1993), is a Taiwanese professional baseball outfielder. He plays for the Lamigo Monkeys of the CPBL. During his rookie season, in 2016, Wang broke a number of league records. Among them, he became the first player to record 200 hits in the league and finished with a .414 Batting Average. He is one of the greatest Taiwanese hitting talents ever.
Outside of Taiwan, he is yet most known for his outrageous bat flips.[1] His probable inclusion on Chinese Taipei's 2017 World Baseball Classic roster will introduce him to a wider international audience.
Wang models his game after American MLB stars Bryce Harper and Mike Trout, and hopes to follow fellow Taiwanese star Dai-Kang Yang's path to professional baseball in Japan's NPB.[2]
