USNS City of Bismarck (T-EPF-9), (formerly JHSV-9), (ex-Sacrifice) will be the ninth Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport, to be operated by the Military Sealift Command.[1] The name was originally announced as USNS Bismarck (T-EPF-9). It will be the first ship in naval service named after Bismarck, North Dakota’s capital city.[2]
City of Bismarck is under construction in Mobile, Alabama by Austal USA.[3]
