Solid is the eleventh studio album recorded by American vocal duo Ashford & Simpson, released in 1984 on the Capitol label.
Commercial performance
The album peaked at No. 1 on the R&B albums chart. It also reached No. 29 on the Billboard 200. The album features the title track, which peaked at No. 1 on the Hot Black Singles chart and No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Also featured are two other chart singles: "Outta the World" and "Babies".
