Shamirpet is a suburb in the Medchal district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is the mandal headquarters of Shamirpet mandal in Keesara revenue division.[1][2] It also a part of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.[3]
It is home to Shamirpet lake, Jawahar Deer Park, Genome Valley, NALSAR University of Law, Institute of Public Enterprise, BITS Pilani - Hyderabad
