Ommatotriton or Banded Newts is a genus of salamander in the Salamandridae family.
Taxonomy
Formerly placed in genus Triturus, it currently contains two species:[1]
- Northern Banded Newt (Ommatotriton ophryticus)
- Southern Banded Newt (Ommatotriton vittatus)
