Madipakkam is a suburb in South of Chennai. It has been recently added under the Chennai Corporation limits.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Madipakkam had a population of 14,940. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Madipakkam has an average literacy rate of 88%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 90%, and female literacy is 85%. In Madipakkam, 9% of the population are under 6 years of age.
