Description
Lamprocyphus augustus can reach a length of about 22–25 millimetres (0.87–0.98 in).
Photonic crystals
The iridiscent green with golden reflections is a structural colour. It is created by the photonic crystal structure of its chitin scales.[2]
Distribution
This species occurs in Brazil and Argentina.
