Kukujevci (Serbian Cyrillic: Кукујевци) is a village in Serbia. It is situated in the Šid municipality, in the Srem District, Vojvodina province. The village has a Serb ethnic majority and its population numbering 2,252 people (2002 census).
History
Prior to the Yugoslav Wars, the population of the town was 89% Croat.[1] The new Serbian population has sought to rename the town to Lazarevo.[2]
