Hepatica nobilis or Anemone americana is a herbaceous perennial in the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae). It is native to the eastern United States and to central and eastern Canada.[2]
In cultivation, this plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.[3]
