Glen Kamara (born 28 October 1995) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Colchester United, on loan from Arsenal.[2]
Career
Born in Tampere, Finland, he started his career in England in the Southend United youth set up before moving to Arsenal in 2012.[3] He was a member of the Arsenal F.C. Academy. He was an unused substitute for Arsenal's match against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League in December 2014.[4] Kamara made his debut for Arsenal on 27 October 2015, a day before his 20th birthday, against Sheffield Wednesday in the Football League Cup fourth round, an eventual 3–0 away loss.[5]
On deadline day, 31 August 2016, he joined Colchester United on loan until January 2017.[6]
International
Kamara has represented both the Finland U19 and Finland U21 sides in internationals. He was an unused substitute for the Finland senior side in a friendly against Estonia in June 2015.[7]
