The commune includes two villages:
- Dumbrăveni (historical name: Hairanchioi, Turkish: Hayranköy)
- Furnica (historical name: Şchender, Turkish: İskender)

At the 2011 census, Dumbrăveni had 513 Romanians (99.23%), 4 others (0.77%).
