Construction 2018 is a launched roller coaster currently under construction at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The coaster will open in Spring 2018. The ride will be the first multi-launch coaster in the UK, and will serve as the park's eleventh roller coaster. It will be manufactured by Mack Rides and will cost £16 million. [1]
Layout
The ride will begin with an 80 km/h (50 mph) LSM launch into a 27m tall top hat element, which will pass under the lift hill of the Big One. The train will then navigate a tall helix before a series of highly banked turns, followed by an inline twist. A second launch will follow, which goes into an Immelmann. Another series of highly banked turns and s-curves will follow before the train hits the brake run and re-enters the station. The track will interact with many existing roller coasters, including the Big One, the Steeplechase and the Big Dipper.
