Clarence William Russell was the 12th head football coach for the West Virginia University Mountaineers located in Morgantown, West Virginia and he held that position for the 1907 season.[2] His coaching record at West Virginia was 6 wins, 4 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 21st at West Virginia in total wins and 16th at West Virginia in winning percentage (.600).[3]
