Summary
From a dismal 9-win, 24-loss overall record last season, the Shell Turbo Chargers emerged as the top-seeded team in the All-Filipino Cup and Governor's Cup tournament, advance in the best-of-five semifinal series each time and lost, first against the Barangay Ginebra Kings in the All-Filipino Cup, the Turbo Chargers lost in five games and in the Governor's Cup, they were swept in three games by the San Miguel Beermen.
